Our Process Works: Results
That Speak For Themselves
While past outcomes do not guarantee future results, we put you in the best chance to succeed. Our process works! Check out what we have been able to achieve for clients who have so badly needed it. We always hope that the case ends better for you with us than it would have with another attorney, and we will work tirelessly to make sure that is the case. Even if your case is one that resolves by plea, you can rest assured that we only advise that you plea if we believe it is in your best interest.

While our successes are seemingly too many to count, you can see a few below.
2024 Highlights
2024 has proven to be a banner year for Texido Law, and it is still going. This year alone, we have achieved three jury trial acquittals for clients facing serious charges, as well as numerous other dismissals and positive outcomes for clients. Here are a few:
Jury of 12 Unanimously Acquits Man of First Degree Rape
In July 2024, a Texido Law client began a trial upon a charge of rape in the first degree. Applying the skill necessary to discredit the complainant's story without unnecessary offending the jury, we finished the week-long trial with a not guilty verdict after the jury deliberated for only 42 minutes.
Charges Against Correction Officer Dismissed
A jail employee was charged with bringing contraband into a facility, and turned to Texido Law for help. Turning down a plea offer that many would accept, this client was rewarded in July 2024 with a dismissal of all charges against him based upon motions filed prior to trial.
Client Found Not Guilty of Attempted Murder
In June 2024, a Texido Law client was found not guilty by a jury of 12 of attempted murder in the second degree and all other charges stemming from an incident in which he was accused of shooting at an occupied vehicle. Once facing up to 25 years in prison, this client was freed after we worked hard and smart on his behalf.
Felony Domestic Violence Charges Dismissed
In May 2024, motions filed prior to jury selection resulted in a dismissal of all charges for a man who was facing felony domestic violence charges. Taking that extra step and turning over every stone, Texido Law found a path to a dismissal and avoided the risk and uncertainty involved in a jury trial.
Jury of 12 acquits man of criminal possession of a weapon
In January 2024, a Texido Law client who, due to his prior record, was facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 16 years to life began a jury trial on his charges. The gun was found in a vehicle he was driving alone, and DNA evidence strongly implicated him. Expertly guiding the jury on the limitations of DNA evidence, and pointing out issues with the police investigation and conduct, we were able to convince the jury that reasonable doubt existed as to our client's guilt. Instead of a 16-to-life sentence, the client walked out of the courtroom a free man after the jury foreperson announced the two most beautiful words in the English language: Not Guilty.

In October 2023, we conducted a jury trial for a client who was accused of shooting at another man, missing, and hitting a man and his two year-old daughter.

Through hard work and applying our experience, we were able to convince the jury that reasonable doubt existed. The client, who was facing a mandatory sentence between 5 and 25 years in prison if convicted, is now a free man. A jury of 12 people unanimously found him not guilty at the close of the two-week trial.
2022 and 2023 Success Stories
Jury of 12 Finds Client Charged With Attempted Murder Not Guilty of All Charges
Murder Indictment Dismissed
In September 2023, citing a fatal error in the manner the prosecutors presented the case, we achieved a dismissal of a murder charge against a client for which a lengthy prison sentence of up to 25 years to life was the result if convicted.

By knowing the law and anticipating things steps in advance, we placed this client in a position to succeed. Ultimately, any murder prosecution was barred after the client pleaded guilty to weapons possession in relation to the same incident. The client is currently on probation.
In June 2023, a jury of 12 Erie County residents found a Texido Law client not guilty of possession of a loaded firearm found in a vehicle he was driving.

Applying our knowledge of DNA and its limitations, we were able to convince the jury that reasonable doubt existed as to our client's guilt.

The client, who was facing up to 15 years in prison if convicted, maintained his freedom and is not even subject to any probation or parole thanks to the not guilty verdict.

Successful Suppression of Evidence
We have a keen understanding of constitutional law and of when the police may or may not engage in certain activity. Applying this understanding, we have achieved suppression of evidence in numerous cases, resulting in dismissal of the charges against our clients. A few recent examples:

Elmira, NY: Client charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm in her vehicle after she consented to a police search. Arguing that the request for consent by the police was unconstitutional, we achieved suppression of the gun and dismissal of the charges.

Buffalo, NY: Familiar story--traffic stop, inventory search, weapon found and client charged. Here, we were able to show that the police did not properly comply with inventory procedures, and the Judge suppressed the firearm. The case was dismissed.

Buffalo, NY: Client on parole was searched by parole officers, and a gun was located in his pocket. We challenged the constitutionality of the search, and were able to convince the Judge that the search was unlawful. The gun was suppressed and the charges were dismissed.
